Our current gold exploration project is situated in the Mallina Basin, within cooee of one of Australia’s largest gold discoveries, the Hemi Deposit (ASX:DEG). We are pleased to say that our drilling has identified Hemi-style gold mineralization and we are excited about generating new drilling targets with geochemistry to find more.

Robert’s Hill Tenements

Covering 467km² of gold tenements, our vast area in the Mallina Hill Basin lies just 5km northwest from the Hemi, Wingina and Whitnall discoveries, which total 10.6Moz of gold. Plenty to explore. These cover a total of 142km². A noteworthy development here, our team has intersected 4m @ 0.42g/t gold and 853ppm arsenic within a 6m alteration halo. This mineralization signature appears consistent with Hemi style mineralization. The intersection lies only 7km to the north of the Hemi discovery, under about 5m of transported soil cover.

The current 200 to 250m drill-hole spacing is too wide to determine vectors to mineralization, so our team is beginning work on a Ultrafine+ geochemistry sampling program within transported soils and at the transported soil/bedrock interface. This approach has proven successful at Hemi, to detect anomalies with up to 5m of transported soil cover. The process extracts ultrafine particles, such as clays and iron oxides smaller than 52 microns, which can bind gold and other metals that move through the environment, to define anomalism below transported soils and at the soil/bedrock interface. We hope this approach will provide vectors to mineralization for future drill testing.

Mt Berghaus Tenements

These tenements total about 140km² over the Mallina Basin however, despite its prospectivity, we have been unable to begin exploration until resolution of a tenement dispute, due to proximity of iron ore rail lines. We are currently working with other large iron ore companies, who agree that it should be possible to excise iron ore railway easements from mineral exploration tenements, to resolve the legislation.

The Yule River Project

This project covers about 141 sq kms of the Scholl Shear Zone, which strikes north east within the Archean Louden Volcanics. This volcanic belt hosts other gold and base metal occurrences like [nearby deposits]. There has been no drilling at Yule River, but geophysical targets have been defined and we are continuing to work on geochemical approaches to provide further support for drilling targets.
